AVID RECRUITMENT INFORMATION

Students, we hope you are doing well as we get through these difficult times and experiencing distance learning.  We want to make sure you are aware that we are continuing with AVID enrollment for the next school year.  We are opening applications for AVID via Google Classroom.  Google Classroom is accessible to students using their DISTRICT email and password.  Students click Google Classroom and click + symbol on the upper right corner to join the class using CODE: mt7ifx6

Toro Canyon is an AVID school-wide campus.  Our teachers, counselors and administrators are AVID trained.  Our school implements the use of binder, agenda and note taking throughout the school year. The AVID Elective class is more rigorous than other electives.  Students work on organization, study skills and critical thinking skills.  They get academic help from peers and college tutors and participate in enrichment and motivational activities.  Students feel empowered to become successful leaders and role models in their school.  Supply list will be available in Google Classroom prior to the new school to better prepare students for middle school and their journey to high school.
